Green Heron-
bird save of pacific asia Is an overseas wildlife rehabilitation center focused on wild release- for wild birds and appreciating them as in co-existence and the importance of Returning birds to their natural home.
No matter the amount of $ spent saving them and time spent on physical therapy, medicine, or food - we do not claim or wish to 'own' them. They are wild and have their own life and pursuits outside of human life and in most all cases, just want to return to their own society.
We do not buy birds brought to us or encourage any one catching them unless in the case of nestlings in a tree about to be dug up or cut down or in other situations where a bird is hurt or in danger of losing their life. Our primary goal is to re-unite them with their own species.
We do provide: *Emergency Medical care *Daily wound cleaning *intensive care-including pre & post surgery *Physical therapy *Daily Food with calcium supplements *Water changed daily *Months of practice hunting for 'predator' orphan birds whom depend on catching prey to survive. *Same species groups for orphans are raised together to discourage imprinting *An in house disabled foster female aids in teaching orphan herons how to fish
Additional benefits: *Release & relocation in a protected area: -Herons, egrets, kingfishers & other sea birds is at the Bird Sanctuary at the International boarder (approx 3miles away). Black collared and black wing starlings are also released here- they already have a presents of same-species birds residing in the area.
--Crested Bulbils and other such songbirds are released in area parks residential park areas to promote urban co-existence. Crested mynas are released in larger parks. Songbirds too tame and human bonded will be adopted out into a homes of our choosing{If attempts to make them wild are unsuccessful}.
